Stone Restoration

Restore the original glory of your property with skilled stone restoration work in London and throughout the South East from Gladstone Tuck Pointing & Restoration

what is it?

At Gladstone Tuck Pointing and Restoration, we perform in-situ, color-matched stone repairs using reconstituted stone and non-ferrous reinforcements. Our services extend to various types of natural stone like Portland, Bath, York, and Mansfield. If your stone type isn’t listed, please inquire. We use conservation-friendly machinery and are approved contractors for TORC, DOFF, and Tensid. Our team, including multi-generational members, are highly skilled in all processes. We’re committed to a two-year apprenticeship program for our new cleaning operatives.

Our standard

At Gladstone Tuck Pointing and Restoration, we recognize the irreversible harm that can be inflicted by inexperienced firms using overly aggressive methods and subpar craftsmanship, particularly on both modern and historic structures. It’s crucial that any repair work be seamlessly compatible with the existing building, allowing for natural expansion, contraction, and breathability to prevent masonry failure due to freeze-thaw cycles or salt recrystallization.

Various factors like pollution, neglect, and poor design can all contribute to the degradation of historic exteriors. Each restoration project we undertake is individually evaluated, as one-size-fits-all solutions are ineffective for specialized repairs. Our skilled artisans are trained to restore a variety of materials including stonework, brickwork, terracotta, faience, and stucco rendering, all while adhering to the highest industry standards.
