All of our stone repairs are done in situ and colour matched using reconstituted stone. Any areas requiring reinforcing will be done using non-ferrous materials and resined in place. We can match all-natural stone including Portland stone, Bath stone, York stone and Mansfield stone

Gladstone Tuck Pointing and Restoration are fully equipped with a number of the foremost conservation-minded machinery and strive to make sure the most sympathetic approach is chosen. We are fully approved and qualified contractors for both TORC, DOFF and Tensid and hold full stock of all products and machinery. Our operatives have a wealth of experience in all systems and processes, our masons are time served and trained and some of our members now have two of their generations within our company. We currently have an ongoing commitment to the new apprenticeship scheme whereby our newer cleaning operatives are going to be trained for a minimum of two years under this apprenticeship before being permitted to undertake any cleaning works.
At Gladstone Tuck Pointing and Restoration, we are fully aware of the unforgivable damage that inexperienced companies may have caused in the past by over-aggressive systems and poor workmanship to both new and historic buildings. It is imperative that any repairs have true compatibility and can behave in the same manner as the existing structure. Repairs must expand and contract with the masonry and be breathable enough to allow water vapour to escape therefore avoiding failure of the masonry due to freeze or thaw cycles or salt re-crystallisation.
Pollution, poor maintenance and inadequate detailing can all cause damage to historic facades. Each project must be individually assessed as there are no standard solutions to repair problems. Our craftsmen are qualified to repair stonework, brickwork, terracotta, faience and stucco rendering to the detailed requirements and standards necessary.
